More School Board Candidates We are Proud to Endorse!

Early voting starts on Friday, September 22! And as you know, Governor Youngkin is urging voters to get out and choose their candidates long before Election Day on November 7th. That’s why we want to make sure you know who we are supporting in this next round of school board candidate endorsements.

Eleina Espigh is running a strong race in Henrico County in the Three Chopt District to replace retiring Micky Ogburn. We believe that Eleina is the ideal candidate for this seat. She is a corporate leader in Henrico’s well known technology sector, an experienced board member in the non-profit arena and has a heart for children and families who face homelessness. We believe that Eleina will be an outstanding asset to a large school division known for providing a variety of options for students, strong expectations for excellence but with a diverse school population of varying needs within the district.

York County has been working hard to promote a slate of candidates for this year’s general election who will bring a variety of skills and talents to this board. Collectively Lynda Fairman, Kim Goodwin and Zoran Pajevic offer their community decades of experience in education, counseling and mental health services, business experience and local leadership. They are focused on parental rights, transparency, fiscal accountability and a back to basics approach to education. With the election of these three fine candidates, a conservative majority will take the helm of York Schools in January and we are excited about the future for children and families in this community.

And finally, moving over to Spotsylvania County on the I95 corridor, Chris Harris and Kirk Twigg are two candidates who we believe are critical to instilling and maintaining stability on the Spotsylvania County School Board. Kirk Twigg has served on the board in Spotsylvania for two terms and is running for re-election while Chris Harris is a first time candidate. Chris brings experience as a former educator as well as a background in business management. The Spotsylvania Board is no stranger to controversy and it is imperative that rather than a Board fraught with divisiveness, the students and families in this county can rely on a Board who has their best interests at heart. It is more important than ever that the trust of elected officials in Spotsylvania be restored.
